Cleaning Team

The Cleaning Team will ensure that all publicly accessible areas of the church are clean and ready for the next service. They make minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, vacuuming, sweeping, and scrubbing floors. Sanitizing surfacing, restocking items such as toilet paper, paper towel, and other supplies. They are also responsible for assisting with preparations for event and special events.

Usher Department

The Usher Department assists members and visitors to their seat within the main auditorium. They are also responsible for catching individuals during a prayer line of the pastors or special speakers. Ushers will also restock giving envelops in the back of seats.

Hospitality Team

Members of the Hospitality Team are also usually the first representatives of the church to meet and talk to people as they arrive for worship. This team establishes the mood that enables people to worship. They are friendly and respectful to every person — trying to restore the dignity that society manages to trample each week. They are proactive in answering questions and in directing people to other areas of the church. When new people arrive, they have standard questions: Where are the restrooms? Which way do I enter? Do I need a name tag? They help establish a warm welcome and a friendly feeling for visitors.

Media Department

The Media Department works behind the scenes to make it possible to share the message of a church with large groups of people through amplified sound, recordings, PowerPoint presentations, Web pages and other forms of communication. The media ministry team has a wide variety of responsibilities. During worship services or other large events, they run the sound board for the worship band and speakers, including the pastor for online broadcasting. If PowerPoint or other media are used, the media specialist sets up all the necessary equipment and ensures that it will run smoothly. Some churches broadcast their service live either on television or by creating a live stream on the church’s website.

Audio Department

During worship services or other large events, the Audio Department workers run the sound board for the worship band and speakers, including the pastor. They should be proficient in sound engineering and must be willing to learn and stay on top of any new equipment or possible software updates needed to better the sound and experience of the church attendees.

Security Department

The Security Team provides security to Church staff, congregants, building and property through patrol of buildings and building perimeters, including parking lots. This prevents unauthorized visitors or property damage. The Security Team would assist the Law Officials with protection and security for the inside of the building and during service times. These teams will have designated seats throughout the auditorium so that they may be on the lookout for any strange behavior.

Altar Call Workers

Altar Call Workers provide those that answer the altar call with scriptures and prayer that will meet the need of those that have answered the call of God. They will also be responsible for leading people in the sinner’s prayer, receiving the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, etc. 

Prayer Team

The Prayer Team is responsible for praying during service hours. Also, they pray before the start of service. They also are available during deliverance services. The prayer team also upholds the pastor, first family, the congregation, its ministries and the community in prayer, to empower and inspire the congregation in their prayer lives.

Medical Response

The Medical Response Team is to be on stand-by in case of a medical emergency. Physician is not needed; ANYONE can do this because they are the help until help arrives. Your medical team should be certified in CPR. This will give them the confidence needed to manage a situation until help arrives.

Music Department

The Music Department creates an atmosphere of celebration and reverence to God through music for all worship services. Leads and directs the Church music program to include choir(s), vocal, instrumental, and other phases/expressions of musical experience. Fosters an innovative, blended style of music to enhance and support the worship message goals. It is estimated that this position will require a commitment of between 10 and 12 hours per week. Must be willing to commit to weekly rehearsals. The three departments that you can serve in are: 1. Choir 2. Musician/Band 3. Praise & Worship.

Dance Team

The Dance team leads the church in worship through inspiring dance routines. They also play a huge role in productions such as Resurrection Sunday and Christmas.
